Grocery Purchases

A great upgrade from last month's canned tuna and tofu subsistence
This is a rare departure from my standard grocery list (re: yogurt/milk/eggs/fish/chicken breasts/bananas).
  • Lotus Spread - Curiosity kills the cat! I don't understand how so many people are crazy over the Lotus spread or its Trader Joe's nemesis (the same way how everyone's so amused by macarons). I would much rather have the cookies, it's all about the crunch.
  • Coconut Water - I remember ordering fresh coconut water at every Filipino restaurant when I was home on holiday last spring. You can't say no to something so refreshing and cheap! It's one of the things I miss the most about the Philippines so I jump at every chance I come across it.
  • Crackers - Top with some hard cheese, spread some peanut butter or simply enjoy it on its own, they're good hunger-bridges when you're at that point.
  • Pomegranate Juice - ever since I first had pomegranate seeds in my cup of froyo last winter holidaze, I've been hooked. It's a shame I've only ever bought pomegranate twice here so came my crazyeyes at the first sight of this. Sadly, it tasted like an old pomegranate juiced for what it was worth = no bueno.

To segue to a semi-distant topic, I like soup. Top favourites would be pumpkin, tomato, burdock and sinigang by my dad. I end this on a borderline-narcissistic collage of me inhaling a bowl of bird's nest at our local dirty Chinese haunt.

How's everybody's week going so far?
I don't like humpdays. Plus it's raining and I wore the wrong shoes to work today. Ina Problems. Somebody hold my hand, plzzzzzzz.
